If you live in the northern part of the country, you’re probably no stranger to the challenges of snow. As a facility manager or business owner, you have an extra obligation to remove snow promptly from the premises of your facility. One of the most relevant questions this raises is: How often should you schedule snow removal services? There is no one-size-fits-all answer, but there are some important things to keep in mind as you decide.
First among them is researching weather projections. If you see that there is a strong chance for heavy snow in the upcoming week or two, then reserve a removal team in advance, or plan to have them there on a certain day.
Sometimes the weather can be unpredictable, which is why it is important to schedule something with a snow removal team at least once a week. This is, of course, dependent on the area in which you live. You can always cancel if the weather is nicer than expected, but it’s better to have a plan in place, just in case.
