MaintenX Teams Up with Hillsborough Education Foundation to Support Local Students
MaintenX’s partnership with the Hillsborough Education Foundation (HEF) delivered remarkable results this summer through the Tampa Bay School Supply Drive. Our team came together to collect over 9,000 essential school supply items including 264 backpacks—totaling 565 pounds of educational resources—for economically disadvantaged students throughout our Tampa Bay community.
The Hillsborough Education Foundation is a nonprofit organization supporting students and teachers in Hillsborough County Public Schools – the 7th largest school district in the country with over 224,000 students. With nearly 62% of students (approximately 137,000 children) considered economically disadvantaged, many lack basic supplies like paper, pencils, or a backpack needed to succeed in the classroom.
Amazing Results from Our Incredible Team
Our team contributed by bringing donations to our office and dropping them off in collection bins throughout the campaign period from July 3rd to July 25th.
Like previous years, we also expanded our reach by offering an alternative contribution method. Team members could order items directly from HEF’s Amazon Wish List and have them shipped to our Tampa headquarters. This approach enabled us to include a much larger part of our company, since about half of our employees work remotely across the Southeast and don’t regularly visit our Howard Avenue office.
Supporting Our Community’s Future
Our partnership with HEF continues MaintenX’s commitment to improving lives in our Tampa Bay community. Just as we provide quick, cost-efficient, and expert repair solutions for our customers’ facilities, we’re dedicated to helping build a strong foundation for our local students’ success.
The supplies we collected will directly support students through HEF’s Teaching Tools Resource Center, which provides free school supplies, classroom materials, and instructional resources to help teachers and students succeed. By easing the financial burden many families face, these donations ensure that more Tampa Bay students are prepared and set for success for the upcoming school year.

Our participation with HEF joins our ongoing charitable partnerships that include programs with Metropolitan Ministries, Habitat for Humanity, and the Salvation Army.
